About This Position: The mayor’s 3-K initiative is now expanding to District 9 in The Bronx. The Garrett A. Morgan Elementary School also known as P.S. 132 will host two of the district’s 3-K classrooms. Therefore, P.S. 132 is searching for an early childhood team member with compassion, dedication, content knowledge, and a professional edge to push the thinking of the school and surrounding¬† community. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while navigating moments of ambiguity. The ideal candidate will not only possess the wisdom to interact with students in 3-K but also understand and attend to their individual needs. About This Position: The Garrett A. Morgan Elementary School is searching for a team member to complete the school’s offerings for the Art disciplines. Therefore, if you are a music teacher interested in stirring children’s excitement about the intricacies of music, whether choral or orchestra, this position is for you. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in music and can get children as young as 5 years old to understand and read music. The individual will be required to collaborate with the other arts-based teachers to create social studies based thematic units and school-wide art showcases¬† three times throughout the school year. This individual must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and understand how to navigate some moments of ambiguity.
